Anne Marie van Swinderen
Anne Marie is the founder of L-IFT BV. She has been active in financial inclusion for over 25 years. She started her career with BRAC, supported the Women’s Union to start one of the first microfinance institutions in Vietnam, she worked on agricultural and cooperative finance in Zambia, supported the regulatory framework for microfinance in Angola, worked on microfinance outreach in Bolivia, conducted financial diaries in rural and urban zones of remote Magdalena Departamento of Colombia, conducted studies about demand for mobile financial services, worked on product development for mobile financial services in Ethiopia and conducted youth financial diaries in Togo and Ethiopia. She is currently leading the MasterCard Foundation flagship livelihood diaries in Uganda and Ghana.
Marcienne Umubyeyi Mahlet Alemayehu Beza Teshome Associate Consultants Yohann Formont
Marcienne Umubyeyi has 14 years’ experience in financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, youth training, project formulation and implementation. She is L-IFT Programme Manager and engaged as coordinator of the Livelihood Diaries in Ghana and Uganda.
Mahlet Alemayehu has 5 years’ experience in project management, proposal formulation, administration and human resources. She is expert in data processing for financial diaries and data interpretation.Mahlet is Programme Officer at L-IFT charged with the reporting, administration and data analysis of the Livelihood Diaries project.
Haimanot Yibeltal has studied Physics at the New York University and has experience in CAPI software for financial diaries research, video making, technology management and data base design. He is particularly experienced in quality management through technology. He is a Programme Officer at L-IFT charged with the data management, technology and logic responsibilities for the Livelihood Diaries.
Beza Teshome is a Programme Assistant at L-IFT. She supports all the other team-members in data processing, fact-finding, administrative issues and report writing.
Maria Helmrich has an MSc in Business Information Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. In her studies she specialized in big data and business analytics, which provided her experience in R programming. Maria is Programme Assistant and data expert at L-IFT, charged with data processing, analysis of findings and report writing.”
Yohann Formont has close to ten years’ experience in financial sector development, inclusive finance and microinsurance. As a consultant he has carried out a range of assignments worldwide for multilateral organisations, bilateral development agencies and NGOs. He has been living in Nepal since 2011 where he works with banks, microfinance institutions, wholesale funds and insurance companies. His expertise includes technical assistance for (micro) finance providers (strategic planning, product development, market survey, risk management, financial analysis), Feasibility study and design of financial facilities (challenge fund, guarantee fund, etc.), Microinsurance: development of partner agent model with MFIs, national sector studies and large programme formulation, impact assessment, programme evaluations and portfolio reviews, Project management and financial management. Yohann holds an MSc in Economics.
